“If you believe in living a responsible life, You believe in self-help which is the best help”
Politics in India, like any other democratic country, involves the ruling party and the opposition. In India, the formation of political parties takes place on the basis of ideology.
Moreover, the political parties in India belong to the Leftist and the Rightist political spectrum. Leftist politics rely on the values of secularism , liberalism, and rebelliousness. In contrast, the Rightist politics favor the values of being pro-government, orderly, conservative, and traditional.
There are no accurate definitions of left or right politics anywhere in the Indian constitution. Furthermore, these terms were given by commentators, authors, and journalists. Also, it has been witnessed in India that some politicians can change their political party and ideology.
Sri. HD Devegowda, Former Prime Minister of India is a tireless personality and a unique visionary. His tenure was aimed at social and economic development of India. Known as the “Son of the Clay”, he is one of the greatest politicians of India. His performance in state as well as national politics is exemplary from which, today’s young generation can draw inspiration. He was the founder & President of Janata Dal (secular) which is a regional party.
Democracy and secularism are the foundation stones of this party. The principles of universal harmony, secularism, democracy and constitutional fidelity are all grounded in party doctrine.
The symbol of the Janata Dal (secular) party is “a peasant woman carrying a bee.” This sign indicates that the JD(S) party is working for the welfare of farmers and girls. The JD (S) emphasises in its Constitution, education, health, employment, peasants’ rights and privileges and equal opportunity for all. From its inception, the JD (S) party has been working for the prosperity of the peasantry and in all its activities has made reservations for the farmers.
The party strongly believes that the empowerment of women is the key to the development of the country, which is also the goal of the party. Sri. H.D. Kumaraswamy, former Chief Minister of Karnataka and a visionary leader, has been
working for the overall development of Karnataka’s heritage and culture, emancipation of Kannada language and having capabilities to compete with the world economy.
He is the only leader in India who has waived the Farmers’ loan, made Bengaluru into a Silicon Valley,
envisioned Metro in Bengaluru and has served as a leader of the poor. I was inspired by the leadership and ideology of the party and joined JDS in the year 2012.
Sri. H.D. Kumaraswamy appreciated my education & professional qualification made me contest from Sarvagnanagar (Vidhana Sabha constituency) in the year 2013. As I was a new entrant to politics with less experience, I lost the elections. Since then, I have been working for the party relentlessly and consequently, Sri. HD Devegowda and Sri. H.D. Kumaraswamy had appointed
me at the responsible position of State Minority President in the year 2013-2014.
In the year 2014-2016, I was appointed as the State Youth Working President and from 2016-2018, I was re- appointed as State Minority President. Holding various position in the Party taught me how to work among the people and serve the people.
I have campaigned throughout the state of Karnataka, as a team member & star Campaigner along with Sri. H.D. Kumaraswamy. In the year 2017, I customized an Election Campaign Caravan Bus for Sri. H.D. Kumaraswamy by naming it “Vikas-Vahini” and my late mother Smt. Naseemunnisa blessed Sri. H.D. Kumaraswamy for his success. With the blessings of people of Karnataka, in the year 2018 Sri. H.D. Kumaraswamy, became the Chief Minister of Karnataka for the 2 nd time.
I was appointed as the Special Representative of Government of Karnataka to New Delhi by Sri. H.D. Kumaraswamy which was a very important State level Minister Post coordinating between the State & Centre. Politics is not for power or position but to serve the people in need. I believe in serving the people and contributing my service for the emancipation of the poor, downtrodden minorities, schedule castes & scheduled tribes and their social and economical development.
